The traveling show begins!

New York

I got in! I made it into the show! It is a 6x6 inch show that started out a few years ago as a small fundraiser and has now gone global. The exhibit runs from June 4th - July 10th.

This year they are awarding prizes by popular vote so if anybody wants to vote click on this link. The paintings are anonymous so names will not be attached to paintings. If you are interested in voting for mine they are numbers 90, 91, 92, and 93. If you like another one better feel free to vote for that one it won't hurt my feelings. You can vote once a day per email address and then go to your email to confirm so that they know it is a real email. I'm not sure how long the voting lasts but i'll keep you posted if I find out.

I found another art show to enter. It's called 6x6x2011: Global. It's in Rochester New York and they are looking for artists from all 50 states and as many countries as they can get. The limit... 5,000 paintings.

I sent four 6x6 paintings, this one is my favorite.

Traveling Show

While at the opening reception for the "World of the Wild" I found out that I was chosen for the traveling show put on by the Salt Lake Art Center!! I don't know very many details except that my piece will travel around for 1 year after this show ends. I'm so excited!!!

World of the Wild Art Show

I entered Utah's Hogle Zoo's annual art show. It is a competition/exhibition intended to encourage diverse artistic interpretation of the natural world. I found out about it a few days before the entrance deadline and got to work on a few pieces. I got the email from the jury last night and one of my pieces got in!!!
